Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 20, 2026
1. Introduction
SetupLobster (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website, setuplobster.com, book a call, purchase services, or use our in-person OpenClaw setup and support services.
2. Information We Collect
Booking information — Name, email address, phone number, and scheduling preferences collected through Cal.com when you book a call or appointment.
Payment information — Payment details processed securely through third-party payment providers. We do not store your credit card information on our own servers.
Setup information — Device information, network details, account access, integration preferences, and workflow requirements necessary to perform the in-person setup.
Website analytics — Anonymous or aggregated usage data to understand website traffic and improve our site.
Communications — Messages sent to us by email, text, booking forms, or other communication channels during setup, hypercare, or any ongoing managed care plan.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to schedule and perform your setup appointment, process payments, provide installation, configuration, security hardening, and integrations, provide post-setup support during hypercare or ongoing managed care, communicate with you about your service, and improve our website and services.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to operate our business, including: Cal.com for appointment scheduling, Stripe or other payment processors for payments, website hosting and analytics providers for site operation and usage analytics, and Composio or similar integration providers for OAuth and connected app access, where applicable.
These services are subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
5. Data Handling During Setup
During your in-person setup, we may temporarily access your devices, network, accounts, and connected tools as needed to install, configure, and secure OpenClaw.
We commit to accessing only what is reasonably necessary to complete the setup, not intentionally copying, storing, or retaining personal files, passwords, or private data after setup, not installing software beyond what is required for OpenClaw, security hardening, integrations, and agreed workflows, and using controlled permissions wherever possible.
We strongly recommend changing any passwords or credentials shared with us after setup is complete.
6. Local Deployment and Data Location
OpenClaw is designed to run locally on your dedicated Mac mini. After setup, your local OpenClaw environment runs on your hardware, not on SetupLobster-owned servers.
SetupLobster does not continuously receive or store your local OpenClaw data unless you separately provide access for support, troubleshooting, or a managed care plan.
7. Data Retention
We retain booking, contact, support, and service records for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Certain records may need to be retained where required by law or legitimate business purposes.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission, storage, software setup, or connected system is completely secure.
We cannot guarantee absolute security, but our services are designed around a security-first setup model, including local hardware, controlled permissions, hardening, and safer default configuration.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, or request a copy of your information.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
10. Cookies and Analytics
Our website may use minimal cookies or analytics tools necessary for site functionality, performance, and traffic measurement.
We do not use advertising cookies or sell visitor data.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
